I thought that we should have a poetry thread, where we can share our poetry! - If we have any. It doesn't have to be Inu-Yasha related. If you have any comments, or poetry to share, just respond to this thread. I wrote an amateur poem for Rin, in the future, when she is in the village: When I fall asleep to rest, I will see you in my dream. It will not make sense, I won't know what it means.
But once upon a time, when things were clear to me. I was by your side, You had let me be.
Now that things have changed, I am left alone. I could not have stayed, This you made me know.
Although I am safe here, I feel that something it missing, You are never near, There is more to life than living.

Here's a poem I wrote, in 2008, enjoy..
alone by myself again, wishing you were here, to see all the tears I shead, from missing you so dear. In the dark is where I lay, forgotten and cold, this is where I shall die, by myself, alone..

She Will Fight On Written by: Stephanie (Kikyo) in 2008 or 2009 for Kikyo
Instead of the respect that she deserves Kikyo is wracked with hurt Without a wound She bleeds, and ignores them as she passes.
Past the insults and the slander Of those who cannot understand her Without a tear She cries, and manages to get through.
They shout after as she walks away Their dying voices filled with hate And somehow Through it all, she fights on.
No matter what they say The facts will never change She knows this So she fights on.
In the safety of her home She makes sure she's by herself And without a word She sings her lonely song.
And when the song dies away The song of silence begins to play But somehow Through it all, she fights on.
No matter what they say The facts will never change She knows this So she fights on.
Ignoring the pain in her chest She decides to get some rest Without a dream She sleeps, in total darkness.
Even though there is nothing there In the dark she is scared Without a reason She awakes, to find herself in bed.
Finally her limit is reached She sobs as tears roll down her cheeks And somehow Through it all, she fights on.
No matter what they say The facts will never change She knows this So she fights on.

Return to the Place Where We First Met Written by: Stephanie (Kikyo) in 2008 or 2009 for Kagome
Return to the place where we first met To give me the strength to move on When you are gone I know it's something I'll need.
So I'll return to the place where we first met Under the old God-Tree.
Return to the place where we first met To give me the strength to move on When you are gone I know it's something I'll need.
I know while she's near I'll never get near, your heart. So I'll return to the place where we first met It's best to begin at the start.
Return to the place where we first met To give me the strength to move on When you are gone I know it's something I'll need.
I know there's no room In your heart for two. So I'll return to the place where we first met To try and forget about you.
Return to the place where we first met To give me the strength to move on When you are gone I know it is something I’ll need.
I know you'll never be mine So I won't waste your time. I will return to the place where we first met Under the old God-Tree.

Kikyo’s Departure Written by: Stephanie (Kikyo) in 2008 or 2009 for Kikyo
I will accept my fate with arms wide open But I will never accept hers She died alone, her body broken In the miasma she was burned.
Her last words I will never know Her dying face I will never know I am dead inside but I can’t show A single sign of pain or woe.
I feel wretched with guilt It is my fault she is dead I let her fade and wilt Not a word of goodbye between us was said.
The threads of fate are tangled But they cannot be undone I must see things from a new angle And move on without my love.
I must appear that way So my friends won’t worry Even if inside I hide all the blame That she is gone because I did not hurry.
From my memory she can never fade And I know I’ll always miss her I guess I want things to be this way If never again can I see her.
I want her face in my mind I want her voice in my mind I want her life in my mind So at least there she is still alive.

Inu-Yasha's Story Written by: Stephanie (Kikyo) in 2008 or 2009 for Inu-Yasha
His mother was a princess, as human as can be His father was a demon, a human cause to grieve.
She forsook her honour He forsook his pride They chose to become misfits Traitors to their kind.
Separate of this world, free from all expectations They chose to walk the path, of ultimate separation.
She gave him her body He gave her his time And together they created The most dreadful of all life.
You couldn't call him human, for demon he was too You couldn't call him demon, for human tangled in his roots.
Born in times of blood Raised in times of grief Shunned from all normality He grew into a beast.
Among the other children, the beast wished to play But neither the parents or the children, would allow him in their games.
He may have acted harmless But we knew best His mother stood alone beside him For his father was long dead.
He was protected through his mother, who used her heritage as a shield To protect him from those who would harm him, she did not yield.
But she grew ill Her face grew white A few years did she linger Before she lost her life.
With no one to protect him, his life became hell Treated both unfairly and unkindly, he was breaking we could tell.
And one day when he was older His talons long and sharp He started a massacre And tore us all apart.
I am the last survivor, of the kingdom he destroyed And there are times when I wonder, if we best had not toyed.
With the beast’s emotions With his feelings and his mind And maybe not so many Of us would have died.

Inu No Taisho's Choice Written by: Stephanie (Kikyo) for Inu no Taisho / Inu Kimi in 2008 or 2009
You were never meant to mix Your races do not fit The two of you make me sick You were never meant to mix.
Do you really want to break What we worked so hard to make? For the mortal race Do you really want to break?
Is she really worth your time One mortal life Wait 60 years to watch her die Is she really worth your time?
What about our son The one you claim to love Is he worth a mortal woman? What about our son?
Is she really worth your time One mortal life You are a demon, have some pride Is she really worth your time?
It is called common sense You cannot pretend That she will not be your death It is a thing called common sense.
Think of all the demons Those who have forsaken reason Who went with a human Think of all the demons.
Have any of them lived?
Go with her and you will die Stay with me and try It is not your time, but Go with her and you will die.

His World Stops Written by: Stephanie (Kikyo) in 2008 or 2009 for Kikyo
I remember long ago A river ride upon a boat There with him There with him And me.
I got off I tripped and fell I landed in his arms And my face In his chest Listened.
His heart Skipped a beat He froze mentally And his world stopped His world stopped Because of me.
I remember some time back When I was mad at him I gave a kiss Gave a kiss Lovingly.
He was quiet He let me be He wouldn't kiss me back Kiss me back Kiss me back But I could tell.
His heart Skipped a beat He froze mentally And his world stopped His world stopped Because of me.
I remember not long ago When I thought we were alone He hugged me tight Hugged me tight Never to let go.
He must have been feeling Rather brave I could tell he was afraid To do so To do so I know.
His heart Skipped a beat He froze mentally And his world stopped His world stopped Because of me.
I remember yesterday A very painful day I almost died Almost died He wasn't there.
But I know He found out I heard him shout Shout for me Shout for me Desperately.
His heart Skipped a beat He fell to his knees And his world stopped His world stopped Because of me.
