The air here was foul.
Kikyo entered Naraku's barrier. Kikyo knew the location of Naraku's barrier although not a lot of other people did. Behind Naraku's barrier was Naraku's castle, which he had taken from Kagewaki Hitomi. He had taken more than Hitomi's castle. He had taken Hitomi's servants, Hitomi's face, and even Hitomi's life.
"Unforgivable." Kikyo thought when she entered the castle. She covered her mouth and nose with her sleeve because the miasma was nauseating. The miasma would be enough to kill a regular human, however, Kikyo was not a regular human. Kikyo was an anthroparion and would not die by inhaling the miasma.
Although, she didn't like to inhale the miasma. She didn't know how Naraku or Naraku's servants could stand to live in the miasma. She supposed that Naraku was made of miasma. His servants were made of Naraku, and hence made of miasma too. "Disgusting" Kikyo thought.
She had found him. Kikyo entered the screen that led into Naraku's room. If skeletons were not strewn in the hall, the skeletons of Kagewaki Hitomi's servants, and the air was not lethal to a regular human, then Naraku would have appeared to be a regular lord.
"Naraku..." Kikyo began, although there was no one she hated more than Naraku she managed to smile at him. "...I came to visit you. Are you glad to see me?" Kikyo sauntered into the room, her devious smile more apparent due to the purple light that came in through the window.
"Naraku, what are you doing? I may be able to assist you."

He glared up at her his crimson eyes glowing with malevelance."Kikyo...so nice of you to come, but I haven't sent for you if I had needed assistance I would have made my intentions known.Yet still you came."Naraku said coldly still eyeing her with curiousity rather than contempt, he didn't know what her game was but he would play along..for now.

Kikyo approached Naraku. She did not make to draw her bow or her knife. Although Kikyo would fight Naraku if he attacked her, that was not the reason Kikyo came. "I know that you did not send for me, Naraku. However, I thought that it has been a long time since you did send for me."
"I thought that you must be doing something important to have not contacted me. Or," Kikyo continued with a devious smile, "Perhaps you are not doing anything important. Perhaps you did not contact me because you realised why I gave you the jewel shard? I want to know, Naraku, did you ever figure it out?"
"For all those parts you never were very smart, were you?" Kikyo had promised Inu-Yasha that she wouldn't be hurt. She had never promised him that she wouldn't fight Naraku. Kikyo decided that now was as good a time as any to fight him. While he waited in his castle, making monsters to send after her allies.

Naraku continued to glare at her finally understanding the meaning behind her words, she may as well have attacked him with a sword or one of her arrows. Why does she effect me so? even though she is mere artifice."Nothing but dirt and bones your very existence an aberration, think carefully priestess on how you address me in the future or do you wish to kill me?"He said in a dangerously low tone he still didn't move from his spot, he was hoping he wouldn't have to if she made a move he would follow suit.

Kikyo frowned at his comment and told him, "Do not compare me to you. I am what I am because this is what you made me. You are what you are because a human allowed himself to be eaten by demons. There is no relation." Kikyo drew her bow but did not draw an arrow.
"I wish to give you what you deserve. I wish nothing more and nothing less." Kikyo drew an arrow and put the arrow to her bow. There was determination in her eyes. "I intended to wait until you were strongest to end you to prove to you that strength is not enough to defend you from your crimes. However, you have grown idle in your castle."
However, Kikyo had a bad feeling that she was not in Naraku's castle at all. Perhaps she was not having a conversation with Naraku at all, but with his golem. She thought that whatever she was fighting it was worth it. She could not allow Naraku to believe she was his servant any longer, she had to prove to him that she was his master.
"I believe that your idleness is a sign that you feel safe here. Although I know the location of your castle, you feel safe. I cannot forgive that. You are my enemy, Naraku. You must not ever forget that." Kikyo released the arrow at Naraku. It was a warning shot and hit the wall beside him.
"Are you prepared, Naraku? Let us settle this once and for all." Kikyo drew another arrow, prepared for his attack. "Or... Will you run again?"

"Kikyo...have you noticed something about my castle? like you were stripped of something important? ....Now what do you need to survive."Naraku said with a smug smile crossing his handsome features regarding her with a cold glare. It wouldn't do if she ended the game too soon and he had just played his trump card, it bored him greatly to cheat but when one battled a priestess one had to play dirty.

Kikyo had not noticed anything about the castle. Or she hadn't noticed anything unusual. She had noticed that there were miasma and skeletons. She had noticed that Naraku was here and that Naraku did not look like a golem. She had noticed naught but that.
Kikyo looked through the window. Through the window Kikyo saw her shinidamachu (soul collectors). Her shinidamachu could not enter through the window although it was open. She watched the delicate shinidamachu attempt to enter and die on contact with the barrier Naraku had created around his castle.
Kikyo frowned and banished her shinidamachu. Although she needed her shinidamachu she did not want them die. She turned her frown to Naraku. "You intend to prevent my shinidamachu from entering. You are right, Naraku. I can survive, but I cannot move without them."
Kikyo began to understand why Inu-Yasha had told her to wait. Naraku could create a strong barrier. However, she understood too late. Kikyo attempted to shoot another arrow at Naraku, but she did not have enough strength to draw the arrow back.
Without her shinidamachu to stabilize the souls that gave her the ability to move, Kikyo began to lose the souls and the ability to move. Kikyo collapsed and dropped the bow. Kikyo was unable to reach for the bow or arrow that she dropped. Kikyo was unable to move much at all.
However, Kikyo was still able to move. Not able to move much but able to move some. Kikyo decided that she would pretend that she could not move at all, which was what Naraku wanted. Kikyo wondered what Naraku intended to do with her now that she was more or less paralyzed.
Did he intend to kill her again? Kikyo grimaced. She would not let that happen a second time. She would take her own life before she allowed Naraku to take it.

Naraku did not move from his spot rather he continued to look at her from a distance however the look that crossed his face wasn't contempt, it was triumph."haha..Now what shall I do to you? Oh do not worry I won't kill you... afterall you are far too interesting to kill."he said in tone that was filled with cruel intent and malice,he delighted in the torment of others and hers would be unbearably sweet.

Naraku approached Kikyo. Naraku said that he would not kill her but that did not comfort her. Kikyo thought it would be more comforting for Naraku to kill her than for Naraku to keep her with him when she was unable to move. Kikyo decided that she had enough energy to move once.
She had to make that move count. Naraku knelt beside Kikyo. Kikyo did not know what Naraku intended to do with her. Did he intend to make her his prisoner? Did he intend to make her his ransom? Did he intend to make her his woman? It would be what Onigumo (and Naraku) wanted with her. Kikyo would not let that happen.
When Naraku was close Kikyo used her tanto to stab Naraku. Although she intended to stab Naraku's heart she stabbed Naraku's shoulder. Kikyo swore, "Damn." If she had been able to use her shinidamachu she would have had enough energy to aim, but she had not been able to use her shinidamachu. Naraku knew better than to let her.
Kikyo had no energy to move. She would not be able to move again until her shinidamachu could reach her. Kikyo was so mad she thought she would cry. Kikyo felt tears on her cheeks but she could not move to clear them. She had a bad feeling Naraku would use her as a tool. Although she didn't know how.

Naraku didn't even flinch as she attacked him, vowing silently that he wouldn't underestimate her again, he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into a standing position."Would you like for me to release you, Kikyo? You struggle and cling to a memory that is but dust in the wind...and yet."He moved in closer looking as if he was going to kiss her but he pushed her away a look of horror crossing his face. Which was quickly replaced by rage and pain as he looked down at his hand it had transformed into a ogres hand before returning to normal.
