A Brief Overview of Inu-Yasha's Ending The Shikon no Tama is destroyed.
Throughout the years, life is peaceful and secure all around. Kagome decides to abandon her life in the modern world in order to be with Inu-Yasha, her friends, and the new life she discovered beyond the bone-eaters well. Now wed to Inu-Yasha, she finds her place comfortably as the head miko of Kaede's Village. Sango and Miroku are happily married with three children - a pair of twin girls, and a younger boy. Kohaku is training himself to become a better demon slayer, while Shippou finally has the time to continue his kitsune training, slowly rising through the ranks. Together, they protect the village they have come to call their home.
Rin now assists Kaede, trying to learn to be in the company of humans once again. As she receives regular visits from Sesshoumaru, Jaken and A-Un, she will eventually come to decide whether she wishes to resume traveling with them, or remain Kaede's assistant until she finds her place among humans.
Kikyou's soul is finally at peace, free of all the hatred and confusion it had harboured before. Kouga is married to Ayame, and the wolf-youkai tribe celebrate.
Naraku and all of his incarnations are defeated at last, leaving no serious threats for Inu-Yasha and his friends - this should have been the happy ending...
PLOT: Out of Time Fast-forward seven years after the destruction of Shikon no Tama.
Kagome's choice to remain in the Feudal Era sealed the bone-eaters well, and the only passage of time-travel to the modern world. Beyond the awareness of anyone though, the sealing of one time-glitch awakened another. People have been witnessing figures of the past in their purest form, appearing in places they were most remembered. No one understands the source of these strange encounters, but lately nothing feels quite secure for anyone anymore.
Inu-Yasha and his team have set out to investigate, leaving behind the comfort of their village to attempt to solve this mystery. Kohaku accompanies them now, older and much stronger than he was before. Miroku and Sango's children are under Kaede's care for the time being.
Sesshoumaru has taken more responsibility as the Lord of the West. He spends more of his time in the Castle in the Sky - the home ruled by his mother, Inu-Kimi, during the time that he is not around to rule it himself. Although Sesshoumaru is aware of what is going on, he remains uninterested, as of now...
After Inu-Yasha's departure, Rin decides to return to Sesshoumaru, feeling lonely and out of place at Kaede's Village without her friends. She has always felt most at home by his side, anyway.
Kouga and his tribe are unaware of the current situation, but it will likely not remain that way for long - there apparently have been sitings of Naraku, and even Kikyou. Though, something seems different about them... What could be causing these appearances? And what is the purpose of the long-dead returning?
Little does everyone know, there is a much greater enemy ahead of them - time itself. Join the battle in INU-YASHA: OUT OF TIME!
