((AN: I wanted to know more about our other members. I think this is good to learn more about each other. Your favourite character does not have to be the character you RP.))
My favourite character is Inu-Yasha because he is a lot like me. My favourite character is also Kikyo because I understand her.
Inu-Yasha has a good heart. However, most people who meet Inu-Yasha would not know that he has a good heart because he is supposed to be in-sensitive. He does not lie and he does not beat around the bush, and because he does that he comes off as in-sensitive.
However, Inu-Yasha is a sensitive person. He is sensitive about Kikyo's feelings but he is also sensitive about Kagome's feelings. He is sensitive about his friends feelings too. He tries to please everyone and in the process pleases no one and punishes himself for that.
He has been criticised for being a two-timer, but I do not agree that he is a two-timer. Inu-Yasha does not believe in monogamy. Inu-Yasha loves Kikyo and Kikyo loves Inu-Yasha. I do not think that Inu-Yasha should be punished because he loves Kikyo; however, I do not think he should be enslaved to Kikyo either.
Inu-Yasha loves Kagome. Kikyo is not the woman she was when she was alive. Kikyo was an innocent woman who was betrayed to her death by Naraku. When Kikyo was resurrected she developed hatred inspired by that betrayal. Although she has regained her soul from Kagome, her soul is tainted with hatred.
Due to this hatred Kikyo is mad and sad. When Inu-Yasha is with Kikyo she does not make him happy. She makes him mad at Naraku, or sad about what could have been. The love between them is mutual and that love is eternal, but Kagome makes Inu-Yasha happy. Inu-Yasha deserves to be happy.
The reason Kagome makes me angry is because although she makes Inu-Yasha happy, she makes Inu-Yasha in-secure. Inu-Yasha is in-secure about his heritage and he is in-secure in his own abilities. Kagome does not intend to hurt him, but when she punishes him due to his faults she hurts his self-esteem.
However, Inu-Yasha does not let his low self-esteem conquer him. He strives to be stronger, although his low self-esteem is not good he uses that as inspiration to become stronger so that he can have high self-esteem. When he is defeated although he is disappointed he is determined not to be disappointed again. This is what makes him strong. This is what makes him courageous.
As I said before, Inu-Yasha is a lot like me. I have been called in-sensitive although I am sensitive. I do not believe in monogamy (in general). I love Kikyo and respect Kagome (as Inu-Yasha does). I have low-self esteem but I am also confident. Once again, he is a lot like me.
